From just north of Minneapolis, a musical force
known as BLACKOUT is gaining momentum and about to take the Twin Cities by storm! BLACKOUT members are
instantly recognizable by the dueling guitar rifs of
Dan Wallin and Tony Zoff, jumping bass lines of
Tom Moga, the incredible strong drumming of
Ed St.George and the strong, authentic vocal style
of Brent Hockert. BLACKOUT'S sound resembles a collection of Stone Temple Pilots and Ozzy Osbourne,
with a little Black Crowes added for flavor and
just a pinch of Prince. The result is a tasty style
rock show that you'll want to hear again and again.
We pride ourselves on learning several songs a month
always staying current but not afraid to go back and
play our favorites from the past. |

Music has always been a part of my life. Growing up I was a music geek. I have been singing since I can remember. My first time singing was Karaoke in 1993. I was scared as hell to be in front of all those people but they seemed to like it. Even though I enjoyed it I never really did it again until |
around 2005 when I was really buzzed and figuredwhat the hell. In 2007 my wife and I went to see a band called Frantic one night and loved them. We began seeing them regularly. One night after seeing them play we went next door to another bar with the band and they had Karaoke and the lead singer of Frantic heard me sing. They thought it was good and invited me to come sing at their next gig. The lead guitarist of Frantic asked me to be the singer of a project he had started called Les Decibels. I accepted and that started my singing adventure with a band. At the end of 2007 Frantic started to break up and the remaining members as well as myself started a band called Driven where I played more of a role as a guitar player than singer. I received a phone call from Tony who I had seen play with Dan in Shovel Shot asking me to audition for his new band. I couldn’t resist the opportunity to be in a band with them. I was asked to join BLACKOUT that night. Feeling that Tony and Dan were two of the best guitar players I had ever seen, I accepted the offer and became the lead singer for BLACKOUT.
I have a lovely awesome wife named Sarah and four amazing children. I love them all
very much and none of this would even be possible without their love and support. |

Inspired musically by Cheap Trick and AC/DC, Tom picked his passion to make music by trying guitar, drums and keyboards. Not satisfied he picked up the bass guitar after seeing Iron Maiden in concert and soon realized that talent came naturally. Tom has played in several known and popular area groups such as Palace, Paragon, |
Sidewalk Preacher, and To The Core and now joining BLACKOUT. Current favorite bands include; In Flames, Godsmack, Mudvayne and Tool. Tom also enjoys classic rock, new country, funk, and European Symphonic Metal. Influences include Steve Harris of Iron Maiden, Geddy Lee of Rush, Tom Peterson of Cheap Trick, and Cliff Williams of AC/DC. |
